Title: Quick and Nimble
Author: Adam Bryant
Overview: As we heard at the 2017 Outsourcing World Summit, the pace of change is increasing. Disruptive technologies, changing world economics and altering demographics is going to impact all businesses in a way that has not been seen before. It is at this time, businesses have to be innovative and facile in how they react to these changes – before changes affect them. Creating a culture of change and innovation is a key to this success and this book directly addresses that. It details, with examples, how leading companies create this environment and what leaders do in those businesses to promote the new culture. One of my recent presentations to an audience used many of these concepts in helping them understand what steps they need to take to affect this change.
“Businesses have always needed to be nimble and change as the market and environment changed around them. However, that pace of change has accelerated to a point where without an embedded culture of change and innovation, businesses will not be able to react fast enough. Outsourcing world is and will be impacted directly and in some cases, may even lead the change and help their customers become more quick and nimble. Read this book and internalize the message and learn from examples of hundreds of leaders who are leading this change.”
– Jag Dalal, COP, Chief Advisor, Thought Leadership, IAOP

The book is divided into two parts:
1. Setting the Foundation: where the author addresses what creates and keeps culture in an organization.
2. Taking leadership to the next level: provides a detailed prescription on how to create that culture and uses interviews and discussions with leaders and CEOs who have taken those steps.
